7:00 pm Cleanup and Dismissal
NEEC’s Club Freedom After-School program operates for two 12-week sessions annually. September - December and February - May, meeting twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Center (SBEV), 4119 Saginaw Street, Flint, MI 48505.
NEEC welcomes scholars from grades K through 8th. Club Freedom After-School program offers tutoring for children in literacy and mathematics. NEEC's staff are professionally trained to provide rigorous assessments to ensure academic growth. Scholars are also provided opportunities to engage in highly quality STEM focused activities, such as robotics, chess, sports, nutrition, and the creative arts.
Club Freedom After-School program is committed to address these outcomes:
Children and youth will maintain or increase their academic achievement.
Children and youth will develop and cultivate hard skills such as, critical thought and analysis, literacy, numeracy and problem-solving.
Children and youth will develop emotional regulation skills, discipline towards self-efficacy, persistence, and develop high-level life-coping skills.
To monitor the academic progress of the scholars, NEEC's staff utilize the award-winning on-line assessment program, Mobymax.
