BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Nic is a program coordinator for the Office of University Outreach at the University of Michigan-Flint since 2011. He provides business counseling for UM-Flint's Innovation Incubator and coordinates IN on the Road, a community business boot camp. He brings communications and fundraising skills and a desire to support higher levels of educational attainment in Flint.
Kendall Nash is a lifelong resident of Flint and has been working in the Flint Community for over 10 years in various capacities. Over the past year she has been mentoring young women. This summer, she was employed with Genesee County Parks as Supervisor of a summer camp program for children of all ages. She has committed to making a difference in the lives of youth by working with New Evolution Educational Center.
Stephen has over 31 years of experience as a law enforcement officer with the city of Flint and the University of Michigan. Stephen holds three advanced degrees including one in Educational Leadership and School Administration. He also is a certified educator and is employed with the Genesee Intermediate School District since 2008, where he teaches Public Safety/Homeland Security at the Genesee Career Institute formally known as the Skill Center. Stephen work with inner-city youth spans over three decades and has fostered positive results.
Craig Coney is the retired President and Chief Executive Officer of the Career Alliance. He is a lifelong resident of Flint, Michigan and an inductee into the Greater Flint Afro-American Hall of Fame.
Ashnee is a community organizer working to foster effective positive collaboration throughout Flint and Genesee County. She serves as the Assistant Director of the GCCARD Neighborhood Services Center, Sorority Incorporated, and as a Lead National Trainer for the Children's Defense Fund Freedom Schools Program. Ms. Young has over a decade of experience serving youth and community in multiple capacities. She considers herself to be a lifelong learner and is often in search of opportunities to support those who seek to empower others.
Ashnee Young, Executive Director
Sylvia is the owner of S Campbell’s Accounting & Tax Service since 2003. Sylvia has worked in the Banking Industry for over 22 years. She has worked in the Non-Profit industry for several organizations including, Community Capital Development Corp, Flint Housing Commission, and the Flint Area Investment Fund. Independently worked with several For-profit and Non-profit organizations since 2003 including, St. Andrews Scottish Society of Detroit, Christ Enrichment Center, Tapology Inc., Creative Expressions Dance Studio, Flint Area STRIVE, and more.
Kathy is a lifelong resident of Flint and community activist and is dedicated to motivating, energizing, & inspiring youth in the city. She has been employed with Flint community Schools for nearly 20 years in the role of (or as a) Family Engagement Facilitator. Kathy serves in various capacities on many community based organizations that focuses on improving the lives of our citizens, especially the children. She is excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with New Evolution Educational Center in enhancing the lives of children.
Jacquinne is a longtime resident of Flint. She has been both a teacher and school administrator in the Beecher School District. She has a doctorate in Education with an emphasis in Teacher Leadership. Dr. Reynolds embraces the field of education with passion, compassion and high expectations.
